SKINKIT FIELD GUIDE / INSTALLATION
Install a theme at your site root
Download a SkinKit theme ZIP, merge its files into your existing site folders, and load it directly with HTML and CSS.
1. Choose a theme
Browse the theme library and open a full preview. Use the dashboard to download the ZIP for any free theme. A theme with restricted access must be approved first.
- Sign in with Google.
- Open your dashboard and choose a theme.
- Select Download ZIP, then extract it into the root of your website.
2. Merge the files at your site root
The package has a sample.html, a README.md, an AGENT.md, and theme files inside css/, js/, and assets/. Merge those folders with the same folders in your existing site.

aura.css

assets/

README.md
AGENT.mdUse sample.html as a complete starting page, or copy its sections into your existing HTML. The theme folders on SkinKit are for previews and downloads; your extracted package goes directly into your own website folders.
3. Link the theme files
Use the CSS from the document head. The JavaScript is optional and supports the sample mode toggle and small demo interactions.
<head>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1">
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/css/aura.css">
<title>My website</title>
</head>
<body>
<main>Your semantic page content</main>
<script src="/js/aura.js" defer></script>
</body>There is no required data-theme attribute on the body. The stylesheet you load selects the design. If your site lives in a subfolder, adjust the leading slash paths to match your hosting setup.
4. Preview the hosted page
Open the HTML file directly or use the static preview option in your editor. Upload the files to any static host when ready. There is no compilation, package installation, or build command.
